Meet Jessica Chavolla

Licensed Professional Counselor

About me

I work with women who find themselves feeling anxious, unsatisfied, and overwhelmed, despite the hard work they’ve done to grow and change. As much as you might blame yourself, it’s often the deeper, “underlying stuff” that is holding you back, like childhood trauma, family of origin problems, ADHD, and shame.

I’ll create the safe space you need and challenge you when you’re ready. Therapy is truly an art. It’s a complex experience of having a soft place to land AND getting really uncomfortable and vulnerable. I go at your pace, and I facilitate you knowing yourself more, taking care of yourself better than anyone else can, and advocating for yourself in your life and your relationships. You can feel more confident and secure, understand your feelings, and connect better to your loved ones.

I conduct super-individualized, holistic (whole-person) therapy. We’ll have an initial intake session where I work to understand a full picture of your history and what you’d like to accomplish in therapy. I create a holding space for all of it–it’s ok if you’re not sure what to talk about or you feel anxious about your first session. Lots of people feel that way! I’ll lead you through it.

If you’re looking for a lower cost therapy, or a way to accelerate the work you’re already doing with your therapist, check out my group therapy options.

I worked in addiction and eating disorder centers where I learned about trauma and the ways humans cope in ways that don’t always make sense on the surface. It was in private practice at Healing House that I have had space to lean into my unique and effective style (it’s gentle and direct). And it was in my own therapy that I learned the power of embracing and truly sitting with the feelings and stories we run away from. I feel honored to work with my clients, and I look forward to meeting you!
